Nexus Industrial Memory are resellers of industrial memory computer chips.

The Challenge

The company had problems with maintaining accurate stock order levels and forecasting future demand.

They were using a custom-built Excel spreadsheet to keep track of stock and purchases but it kept breaking down. Indeed, the operational manager had abandoned the spreadsheet and was now doing the work manually, which was extremely time-consuming.

Our Solution

We built a FileMaker system within two weeks and migrated all their data over – this comprised some 55,000 lines of pricing information. The new system meant the business could:

See all outstanding customer orders and search for particular orders
Track all supplier deliveries
Generate management reporting automatically and drill down on a particular item for more information – something their previous system could not do
