Clocktower is owned by Alistair Mann. With more than 25 years’ experience, he advises individuals and SMEs. He specialises in investments, pensions and tax planning.
The Challenge
Although Alistair was paying a lot for software, he wasn’t getting value for money. He needed a solution that helped him to manage his business more effectively.
Through process automation, he aimed to make his business more efficient. He wanted to be able to:
- Inform clients more effectively how their investments were performing
- Create bespoke reports for clients, including specific market commentary
- Email these reports to the customer
- Create fact finds, which give an overview of a client’s position and their long-term financial objectives
- Produce bespoke financial scenarios
Our Solution
We recommended a solution, built in FileMaker Pro, which enabled him to manage his business on both desktop and iPad.
Alistair met us almost weekly over a three-month period to discuss how his system was being developed. This meant he could give feedback and help us refine the solution.
We were able to automate the following processes:
- Data importing from seven different providers
- Validation of imported data
- Generation of client valuation reports
- Generation of client meeting reports, including recommendations
- Fact finds
